Academic Female Urology Opportunity — M2511-0023

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Department of Urology seeks a full-time faculty member with specialty training in Female Urology/Neurourology/Voiding Dysfunction. The ideal candidate will be certified or have completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) will have clinical and research interest in female pelvic disorders and pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence and voiding dysfunction. This position offers a unique opportunity to become an important part of our collaborative multi-disciplinary effort. Academic aspects include participating in training of urology residents; medical students and fellows as well as the opportunity to conduct research and collaborate with NIH funded investigators.

AAssistant or Associate Professor Urology Endourology — M2511-0034

The Department of Urology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is seeking a faculty urologist with interest in endourology at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor to join an active, growing clinical and multidisciplinary program. The successful applicant should be qualified to perform all aspects of endourology, including surgical and medical management of stone disease. Laparoscopic skills are desirable. The incumbent will have graduated from an ACGME accredited Urology training program and have an interest in academic Urology and well-rounded experience in clinical Urology. The successful applicant is expected to contribute to teaching medical students and residents. Evidence of scholarly research is desirable.
The individual appointed to this position will have clinical and surgical responsibilities and the opportunity to collaborate with both clinical and basic scientists in the design, management and research programs in the Department of Urology, with opportunity for scientific leadership and publication. The Department of Urology has established an academic program of excellence at the University and actively collaborates with clinicians and scientist throughout the world. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a urologist to develop a strong, independent research career in combination with an active clinical practice.

Urology Specialist — M2511-0039

The Department of Urology, Division of Urologic Oncology at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is recruiting Physician Assistant with excellent clinical skills for this current academic year. We have a full-time position available. The ideal physician assistant candidate for our position will have three years of urologic oncology experience, however physician assistant's with less or little experience will be considered based on their desire to learn and motivation to be a part of fast-paced, high quality urologic team. Responsibilities include providing consultative services, direct patient care, and pre/post R operative work-up and patient education. Federal and industry sponsored clinical trials and programs of basic research in various areas of Urologic Oncology, Female Urology and Stone disease are actively underway. The Urologic Oncology faculties are actively involved in teaching and hands-on patient care and seek to impart skills in managing these patients to the incumbent to increase the ability to provide compassionate, exceptional quality clinical care.

Post-Doctoral Fellow, Department of Urology- M2511— 0019

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory for the Department of Urology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. The candidate should be a highly-motivated and creative individual who has completed or will complete Ph.D. training in a discipline related to the life sciences. Research in the laboratory is focused on bladder cancer strategies using cancer immune techniques. Researchers with a background in cancer immunology and/or flow cytometry will be highly considered. The selected applicant is expected to conduct experiments, present research at meetings and publish data in high-quality scientific journals.
